I became aware of “The Pink Lady” nearly 10 years ago when I moved minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, and around the corner from “The Pink Lady” , she became a landmark for family and friends to let me know how far up Caroline street they may be. This beautiful home sits right in the back of me and I pass it many times and wonder why I’ve not used my “supra key” to enter when the lockbox was on there for years. It’s back yard is the Rappahannock river , and the neighboring homes are the same grandeur with tree line streets. Her proper address is 201 Caroline street and new owner will make her his personal residence.
He plans to do much of the renovation himself and also work with local contractor Tom Worman. Heritage Contracting Services
I understand the work is to start soon on this 5000 sq. ft. two story house with a full basement ,“She is going to look fabulous,” she won’t look a day over her birth year 1895 !
I will not be a stranger of this home that always intrigued me for over a decade. I will ask the owner can I have a look around now and again once before he moves in for good.
It’s deteriorating appearance has irked neighbors for years so I can’t wait to see her back to where she originally was.
The house, which gets its nickname from its exterior color, is in one of Fredericksburg’s nicest neighborhoods.
This neighborhood is walking distance to clubs, restaurants, museums, Amtrak , and the VRE, making Fredericksburg a very sort after area. There’s a lot of new construction going on all around the Burg. If you or anyone you know are looking to move to an upcoming city loaded with excitement then ask me about “What’s going on in downtown F’burg” !
Come explore my town , I think you’re love it!
